Of 2141 village
appraisal questionnaires delivered to each of Sapcote's residents over eight
years of age, 966 were returned.
Now the
committee must decide how best to input the data from the questionnaires into
the computer system and start to design the Appraisal booklet.
At the official
launch of Sapcote's appraisal questionnaire at Sapcote library on June 22,
representatives from Sapcote Appraisal for Village Enhancement (SAVE) and
Leicestershire and Rutland Rural Community Council were able to answer
villager's queries.
Chairman of
Sapcote Accommodation, B & B, Bed and Breakfast,, Mike Lee, said 'The village owes a great debt to the
members of SAVE, who have worked tirelessly over the past 18 months. It is hoped
that once the needs of the community have been identified, funding for
initiatives will be more readily available as they will be backed up by the
detailed findings.' M.H.
