Heritage Warden, Keith Hextall has commenced a major project with Dr Richard Pollard, assistant keeper of archaeology of what is now known as the Leicestershire Heritage Services Department. Together they are undertaking the task of cataloguing the Arthur Pickering Collection. Arthur Pickering was an amateur archaeologist who worked in the Hinckley area in the first half of the last century. Some of his work on the Sapcote Roman villa site is on display at Hinckley Museum. This will be the first time that the whole collection has been catalogued. M.H.
