HELP USING AN INTERNET BROWSER

To open the Internet Browser 
Click on the Icon or small picture of     or      

To close the Internet Browser

If you have finished with the programme or page, press close in the top right corner of the screen.



If you have not yet finished with the page or programme, but need to go to somewhere else, click minimise in the top right corner of the screen.


To Move from one page to another

On the page:- When your mouse moves over a picture or word that leads to another page it changes (usually to a little hand) click here to go to another page.

With the Browser:- Use the Back and Forward buttons in the top left hand corner.



To find a website by searching

Click on at the bottom of the page

Then choose a search engine…either Yahoo or one of the others on the right…

Type the subject of your search into the box and click Go or Search

To find a website when you know the Domain Name or Address

Put the full address into the address bar at the top



Then press enter on your keyboard
